Creating your own enterprise, project, company, etc. - your own business - can often be a point of pride.

And though selective assertiveness can be an essential trait for both the creation & mastery of such an endeavor, operating it, running it successfully isn't about pride...

An open-mind and the voluntary willingness to learn from each & every experience can go a long way towards the creation & perfection of 'an ideal' ~ whether that's one's ideal self, one's ideal environment, or an ideal way of life. And I want to reinforce the importance of this. When it comes to creation, to art (as all Art is Creation, to a degree), the making of great art requires some degree of vulnerability (vulnerability, disambiguated from submission). Allowing yourself to be receptive to the influences of new, (ideally positive) situations &/or experiences, at least insofar as the nature of inspiration.

By opening yourself up to such things, you allow for growth & change to occur.

In the style of evolution, it is easy to believe that - (and see why) - growth is important.

I believe that, just as this concept can be important for a soul, it's also important for an enterprise or entity that wants to do more than survive, but optimize.

However, just as there is a time & place for everything, there is a time & place to learn & practice...

And a time & place to put your learning AND practice to good use.

(Not to discount the wisdom of doing both at the same time, during every phase.)

To anyone reading this, I challenge you: Do something.
Make something.
Create something.
Change & Improve something.

The world is a vehicle.

The end-destination is what you make of it.

But the journey to get there?

Well that's something else entirely =)
